Lead Collection form

Lead Collection form

Your Chatwith chatbot can collect visitor details like name, email or phone number using a Lead Collection form. You can use this information to identify your customers faster.
When a Lead Collection is enabled, the visitor will be greeted with a mandatory form asking for their contact details:

A form submission is required before the chatbot can be accessed.

Miscellaneous

  • To disable the form, simply toggle all switches off and click save.
  • The form title can be formatted using Markdown. We recommend adding a link to your data collection policy (eg. Privacy Policy) there.
  • The visitor will be asked to fill the form again when a new session is started. We assume that happens when both conditions are met: the conversation is cleared (using the 🔄 icon) and the browser tab/window with the chatbot is closed.
  • You can enable email and Webhook notifications when a new lead is collected. To do so, head to the Notifications settings.

Viewing leads

All Leads can be found in the Conversations section of the dashboard. Simply view the conversations and find leads in the right hand sidebar. Additionally:
  • If the visitor leaves their name, it will also be used as conversation title (instead of generated names like “Energetic Walrus”)
  • If the conversation was started in WhatsApp, the phone number will be collected automatically.
